Automotive Market Research

Over the past couple of years, the Ukrainian automotive market has developed intensively. However, the financial crisis may alter consumer behavior with regard to the automotive sector as a whole, as well as with regard to particular brands. Given this state of affairs, information becomes ever more vital.

In recent years, GfK Ukraine – using its Consumer Goods Research Department – has provided producers of automobiles and related accessories, as well as dealers, with valuable information and analytical support, on an ongoing basis. Over a nine-month period in 2008, the Consumer Goods Research Department carried out forty research projects, some of which were conducted on a regular basis.

We have significant experience in interviewing car owners (including owners of luxury-class cars), potential customers in various price segments, as well as automotive experts.

In order to address the issues our clients face, we use a number of methods to collect data: F2F interviews, phone-call interviews (CATI), interviews using computers (САРІ and CAWI), mystery shopping, focus-group discussions, in-depth and expert interviews.

We are equipped with a wide range of methods, enabling us to solve the following tasks:

  • market segmentation;
  • image study and monitoring, brand positioning;
  • evaluation of consumers satisfaction and loyalty;
  • evaluation of a new car model;
  • optimization of car equipment,
